High school swim practice began on Monday and it's killer. The first week is dubbed 'Hell Week'. (Can you guess why? lol) We have 4-hour practices for a couple weeks until school starts. Then after that, it's 2 1/2 after school. So now, it's about 2 1/2 to 3 hours doing dry land stuff on the track. KILLER. Then about an hour in the pool. These practices are probably one of the hardest physical things I've ever done. But hey, it'll get me in shape and have ripped muscles! *strikes buff pose* haha!
After the first practice, I ate like a cow (just cuz I can now that I'm burning loads of calories), slept for an hour-and-a-half, ate again, watched the Olympics (which by the way are AWESOME!), went to bed.
And guess what? The next morning, I could hardly move! No, I couldn't get out of bed...I had to roll out. So I dragged myself to the next practice where we worked our butts off again. But the track work was a lot easier. To make up for the track work, we swam a little harder. But I'm still alive and it actually was better than what I expected. I thought we were going to be worked to our death, but obviously, I'm okay.
Aaaaaannnnndddd along with the pain in my hips, thighs, arms, and shoulders, I have pain in my mouth too! Yeah, I had to go to the orthodontist after practice where they took an x-ray of my mouth and later decided that I needed further adjustments. Sooooo, they tightened stuff up in my braces (which hurt like hell) and then said that since the braces themselves didn't correct my overbite, I needed to get 'rubber bands' or 'elastics' they called them. W00t. I was so excited.
In conclusion: My entire body hurts. Swimming is a hard sport, regardless of what non-swimmers say. Braces are evil and painful. (But actually don't look that bad, despite the stereotype of them being only for nerds. Plus, I should have a beautiful smile in the end.) Michael Phelps is awesome. (GO MIKE! 11 MEDALS! ) I am very tired. I actually drew something! (Will hopefully upload it soon)

hehe, sounds like fun Swimming /is/ hard work... but fun Even if it doesn't interest me any more... I just enjoyed being ok at it (and fairly fast ) But in reality I still hate water O.o
Yeah, I'm not really the best either. Just kind of...Average. But I feel that since I've been in something this long (about 4 years now) that I should keep going until I finish completely. I do enjoy it though.
