I have recently read 's journal about Second Chance Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation. [link] Second Chance is a horse rescue association where people rescue abandoned or abused horses throughout Western Australia. They provide a safe home for the horses where they can get medical treatment, nourishment, and training. Other people can adopt these horses and ponies into new homes for a better life.

The thing is, Second Chance is extremely short on money. They are in a great need of horse feed and supplements, new/used horse gear and equipment, a portable round-yard for training, and a horse float (ambulance.)

Here's what you can do:

Gather up a group of deviants or any artists and ask them to do commissions for Second Chance. Instead of the artist keeping the money for him/herself they would donate it to Second Chance.

Or as ~gustavgirl said, have other deviants draw pictures and donate them to Second Chance. Second Chance would then auction the pictures off to earn money.

These pictures you draw don't have to necessarily be horse pictures. They can be of whatever you want as long as some or most of the proceeds go to Second Chance.

I know I can't do much for these horses. I really can't take commissions, but I know some of you can!


So please, check out the Second Chance website and see what you can do for these poor horses. And please think about taking commissions and donating them to SC. You do want these horses and ponies to be fed don't you? Please pass this on to your friends so they can get new ideas on how to help these abused horses/ponies.

The second chapter of my Fuego story is coming along nicely. It should hopefully be finished soon. I'm really enjoying writing it, even though only a few people actually comment on it. D: Oh well.
