LIS's Journal of Awesome-ness



Yep, I've returned from my trip to good old Branson, Missouri! And what a trip it was!

The ride down on Thursday was rather boring (13 hours) but it went by quicker than I expected. Once we checked into our hotel, we went for supper since it was already evening. We then went back to the hotel and swam for a bit.

On Friday, it was expected to rain so we went to the Titanic Museum . It was a great experience! I loved it! After that, we went shopping to the Tanger Outlet Mall. Then we went to get our annual "Ozark Gnomes" from a little shop called "Maw and Paw's Gift Shop." lol. Everytime we go down to Missouri, we always bring back a spooky lawn gnome from that same place. :giggle:

But the highlight of Friday was when we went to the Branson Variety Theater and watched/listened to the Twelve Irish Tenors. IT WAS AMAZING. :wow:Here's a little bit of their show I found on Youtube: :star:[link]:star: Our local Show Choir was the pre-show for this. But seriously, it was great. I had to buy the DVD. lol. My fav is James! :heart: I got a pic with him and the whole group's autographs!

On Saturday, the weather was extremely nice, so we departed to Silver Dollar City. WOWEE! It was fun. ~CrunchyMole and I went on Powder Keg, a rollercoaster. Very fun. And then we went on a few other water rides. And then this Giant Swing thing that's new: :star:[link]:star:. It's uber fun.

After that we went to the Haygoods show!!! OMGWTFBBQTHEYARESOHOT. It was wonderful. They are definitely one of THE BEST shows in Branson. :judge: Man, I adore their shows. Here's a bit of what they do: :star:[link]:star: It's kinda sad though...This year might be their last season of shows...:(...But Patrick Haygood said during the show that they might come back "due to popular demand." I sure hope they do. Dominic is my absolute fav! I wasn't able to get his autograph though! :cries: So they better come back next year, cos we're going to Branson! But GAWD. I had loads of fun this year. And same with the Irish Tenors, I had to get the Haygoods DVD so I can WATCH IT OVER AND OVER!

Sunday, yep time to leave Branson. We left around 5:10 AM and made it back to Wisconsin in about 12 hours! We made great timing! And I cannot lie, on the way back I was extremely depressed about leaving. I mean, I hadn't gotten Dominic's autograph, the weather was beautiful, I had to go to school the next day, and I had such a fun time there! For the first time in my life, I actually didn't want to go home after being 800 miles away for 3 days! I seriously wish I could move down there. I love it so much. But as we neared home (about 45 minutes away from it) I began to get excited to be home. i hadn't seen my furry lovelies for what seemed ages and I just wanted to tell my friends what I did and brag to them how I got to take pictures, shake hands, and give hugs to hot guys!! :giggle:

So I guess I'm pretty happy to be home. To sleep in my own bed, to go on dA again, to see and talk to my friends, and all that jazz. But a part of me still wishes I was in Branson...:lonely:
